How To Apply

Students may begin our program each September at age 2, 3 or 4 years old and can continue through their Kindergarten year.

At Spring Bilingual Montessori Academy, we are committed to fostering strong, collaborative relationships with every family we serve. The admissions process is a vital first step in this journey, providing us an opportunity to learn about each prospective family while offering insight into the values of our school. Each step in this process contributes to the foundation of a meaningful and enduring partnership.

We appreciate your interest in SBMA and look forward to getting to know your child and family. Please review the following steps outlining our admissions process.

Attend an Open House

Our Open House events, held annually in November and January, provide prospective families with a valuable opportunity to meet our dedicated educators, explore our Montessori and World Language curriculum, tour our thoughtfully designed facility, and learn more about our community. To receive an invitation, please complete the Prospective Student Information Form and our Admissions Team will be in touch in the fall.

Submit an Application

Applications for enrollment are accepted from November through February for the upcoming school year. We encourage interested families to begin the admissions process early, as spaces in our programs are limited and tend to fill quickly. Priority enrollment is given to current students and their siblings. Admissions decisions for new families are communicated no later than March.

Schedule a Family Visit

The most effective way to gain a true understanding of our approach and how it supports your child’s development is to experience our Montessori environment firsthand. After reviewing your Application for Enrollment, our office will invite eligible families to schedule a child assessment visit and a parent interview with our Head of School. This process is designed to ensure that both you and your child feel comfortable, informed, and supported as you connect with our school community and begin envisioning your family’s place within it.

Confirm Acceptance

It is our belief that the enrollment decision is a matter of mutual assessment and understanding between family and school. Your child’s successful experience at SBMA is grounded in your family’s firm support of our Montessori values. With this in mind, we aim to provide all of the information needed to help you make a well-informed decision about enrollment. Once a space is offered, families must submit the Enrollment Agreement and the required Tuition Deposit to confirm their child’s space.

Join the Community!

We are delighted to welcome incoming families to SBMA! Once enrollment is confirmed, you'll receive information about upcoming events to help ease your transition and begin building connections. We look forward to partnering with you as your child begins their Montessori journey in our vibrant, supportive community.

Parent Reviews

five stars review

We are very grateful to have had our child at SBMA this past year. Through the pandemic and a move from DC to MD, we have had an unplanned opportunity to attend several different preschools between our two children. SBMA has a very impressive program and it is at the top of our list to recommend to local families looking for a Montessori school. Thank you to the entire team and board for all that you do.

We’ve been part of the SBMA community since 2019 with three children who have just loved the school so much. All the teachers are so kind and caring about our kids. You see their eyes light up when they share whatever new skill they have learned. Montessori learning has made my kids so independent and develop language that prepares them so well to enter elementary school. Diann, the Director of SBMA, has done such a terrific job especially during COVID. We were so nervous sending our kiddo back to school but she put in place a lot of safety protocols and communicated regularly with parents. I appreciated that so much. She has also worked to implement tools to help communicate with parents about the kid’s day. The community aspect of the school is something unique to SBMA that I value so much. The school really tries to connect all the parents together and foster relationships outside of the school. They are relationships I will take with me long after we leave SBMA.
