Serena Wen

N.E.S.T. Classroom Assistant

Ms. Serena began at SBMA in 2022 and brings a strong academic background in early childhood development to her role in the N.E.S.T. classroom. Originally from Taiwan, she moved to Shanghai in elementary school and is fluent in Taiwanese, Mandarin, and English. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from George Mason University. Prior to joining SBMA, Ms. Serena focused on early childhood research and is now enjoying the opportunity to apply that knowledge in a hands-on Montessori setting. She especially enjoys the sensory table, finding it to be a rich and engaging experience for young learners.

Outside of our classroom, Ms. Serena loves animals, road trips, and bouldering—a form of rope-free rock climbing. While living far from family, Ms. Serena is grateful for the support of the SBMA community: “This lovely community makes me feel no longer lonely.”
