Mónica Fong

Spanish Co-Teacher

Ms. Mónica became a part of SBMA in 2025, driven by her passion for teaching and her dedication to fostering growth and development in children. She is originally from Mexico, where she earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Additionally, after earning her American Montessori Society Credential, she spent four years teaching in a Montessori environment before joining our program. Ms. Mónica especially loves how this philosophy nurtures children’s independence, curiosity, and respect for themselves, others, and their surroundings. Fluent in English and Spanish, her goal is to create a joyful, engaging space where students feel confident exploring a new language. Ms. Mónica is excited to be teaching Spanish and to share her culture, traditions, and personal experiences with the SBMA community.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Mónica loves spending time in nature—whether going on bike rides, hiking, or camping with friends and her husband. She also enjoys sewing and practicing yoga. She treasures the moments of joy and discovery that children bring to each day and feels grateful for the opportunity to inspire them to explore the world with confidence and wonder.
